Research areas
The Müller research group is interested in the synthetic, methodological, and physicochemical development of heterocyclic chemistry and its implications in medicinal chemistry, materials science, and nanotechnology. This includes the development of new strategies for heterocycle synthesis. On the basis of cross-coupling and cycloisomerization reactions, new sequential multicomponent and domino reactions are invented, which allow rapid access to pharmaceutically important carbo-and heteropolycyclic skeletons.
