Dr. Barbara Hissa talks about the “A true open-access route: how to go diamond in the nanoscience field?”

Our Managing Editor Dr. Barbara Hissa will give a talk at the 27th International Conference on Non-Contact Atomic Force Microscopy. The NC-AFM Conference 2026 takes place in Innsbruck, Austria, from August 3 to August 7.

Barbara’s talk is scheduled for August 4 at 5:20 pm CEST. She will talk about how the community working in nanoscience and nanotechnology could benefit from choosing diamond open access to publish their research. In addition, she will summarize several open-science initiatives supported by the Beilstein-Institut. She is looking forward to sharing ideas, exchanging information, and discussing topics concerning nanotechnology, scientific publishing, open access, equitable access to knowledge, and fair research assessment.
