Diaminoterephthalates (DATs) are powerful fluorescence
suitability for molecular surface labeling.
Conclusion
Two bifunctional diaminoterephthalate (DAT) fluorescence dyes have been prepared. One functional unit is α-lipoic acid (ALA) for binding the dye to gold surfaces. The other carries a trifluoromethyl group for facile detection of the surface-bound material
