The 2nd International Conference on "Green Solutions and Emerging Technologies for Sustainability" (GSETS 2025) is being held amidst a global focus on addressing challenges related to sustainable development based on the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Therein, nanomaterials and nanotechnology contribute with important solutions for the SDGs.

The thematic issue with the Beilstein Journal of Nanotechnology is to collect novel and high-quality manuscripts emerging from GSETS2025, showing recent advancements in nanomaterials, advanced functional materials, and related promising applications in environmental remediation, pollutant removal, and renewable energy.

The scope of this thematic issue covers, but is not limited to the following topics:

  • Advanced functional materials.
  • Nanotechnology, bionanomaterials.
  • 3D printing materials, CO2 storage and absorption materials.
  • Energy conversion materials.
  • Renewable energy.
  • New materials and solutions for environmental pollution control.
  • Technologies for air and wastewater pollution treatment.
